Peje Emilsson has a long and successful career as a politician, entrepreneur and consultant in strategic communications. He founded Kunskapsskolan in 1999, having been active in the educational sector for a number of years. Today he is the executive chairman and majority shareholder of Kunskapsskolan. He is also the founder, executive chairman and majority shareholder of Kreab Gavin Anderson, a leading advisory firm in financial, corporate and public affairs communications management worldwide. In 2007 Mr. Emilsson was awarded H.M. the King of Sweden's Medal of the Twelfth Dimension in Blue Ribbon for valuable achievements as a business leader and entrepreneur. In 2009 he received the Social Capitalist Award in the category "personal achievement" for founding Kunskapsskolan.
Cecilia Carnefeldt was member of the team that started Kunskapsskolan in 1999. During the last two years, she has been working on the internationalization of Kunskapsskolan, focusing on the Academies project in the UK. Ms. Carnefeldt has a Master of Law from the University of Stockholm and an EMBA from the Stockholm School of Economics. She is also the Executive Chairman of KunskapsskolanSverige AB and member of the board of The Learning Schools Trust in UK, Kunskapsskolan USA and Kunskapsskolan Eduventures Ltd India.
Kunal is the one of the key persons instrumental in bringing Kunskapsskolan into India. He has a passion for "Innovation in Education" and is the promoter of three K-12 schools in India at Jaipur, Karnal and Abohar. He has strong links within industry being the promoter of a Tier-1 Auto ancillary Forging unit at Gurgaon. Kunal also runs a charity "The Navyug Nirman Charitable Trust" that works for the underprivileged in a number of areas. Kunal has a Masters degree in International Accounting & Finance from The London School of Economics. He is also a qualified Chartered Accountant from ICAEW in the UK and has worked for Price Waterhouse Coopers LLP for over 6 years in the Banking & Capital Markets Audit practice in London. Kunal is a member of the board of Kunskapsskolan Eduventures India.
Odd Eiken joined Kunskapsskolan in 2009. Mr. Eiken was State Secretary for Schools and Adult Education in the Swedish Ministry of Education and Science in 1991-94. In this capacity he was responsible for the development of the national curriculum, the governance system and the reforms of choice and public funding (the voucher system). He has also been Chairman of the Education Committee of the Nordic Council, member of the OECD Education Committee and advisor to several countries and think tanks on educational issues. Besides his background in the educational sector, Mr. Eiken has extensive experience in other governmental areas and business. He is a member of the board of Kunskapsskolan Sverige AB, Kunskapsskolan USA Inc. and Kunskapsskolan Eduventures Ltd. India.
