Primary Years Programme (PYP)

The Primary Years Programme (PYP) is designed for students aged 3 to 12 and focuses on the holistic development of young learners. The PYP emphasises inquiry-based learning, encouraging students to explore and investigate their world through structured inquiry and hands-on experiences. The programme fosters the development of international-mindedness and aims to build students’ understanding of themselves and others as active, engaged members of a global community. Central to the PYP are the six transdisciplinary themes that provide a framework for interdisciplinary learning, promoting critical thinking, creativity, and a love for learning.

Middle Years Programme (MYP)

The Middle Years Programme (MYP) caters to students aged 11 to 16 and bridges the gap between the PYP and the Diploma Programme (DP). The MYP focuses on developing students’ intellectual, personal, emotional, and social skills through a broad and balanced curriculum. It encourages students to make connections between their studies and the real world, fostering a sense of global citizenship and responsibility. The MYP’s framework includes eight subject groups, integrated with key concepts, global contexts, and approaches to learning, providing a comprehensive and challenging educational experience that prepares students for further academic pursuits.

Diploma Programme (DP)

The Diploma Programme (DP) is aimed at students aged 16 to 19 and provides a rigorous academic curriculum that prepares them for higher education and beyond. The DP is known for its emphasis on critical thinking, research skills, and intercultural understanding. It comprises six subject groups and three core components: Theory of Knowledge (TOK), Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS), and the Extended Essay (EE). TOK challenges students to reflect on the nature of knowledge, CAS encourages personal growth and community involvement, and the EE allows for in-depth research on a topic of personal interest. The DP’s focus on academic excellence, combined with its core elements, ensures that students are well-equipped for university and their future careers.
