The commencement of our MYP journey has been marked with an engaging start in Language and Literature. Our initial exploration centers around the captivating realm of myths. Four myths have graced our learning path: the epic clash of Hercules and the lion, the enthralling genesis of Thor’s hammer, the poignant tale of the Children of Lir, and a myth we personally sought out. Our voyage began with a quest to uncover the fundamental components of a myth, deciphering the essence that truly defines this genre. Armed with newfound knowledge, we delved into a myth story planner, meticulously extracting the essence of myths from the provided materials.

Having solidified our grasp on mythic elements, we embarked on crafting our own narratives. Guided by the story planner, we intricately structured our myths before weaving drafts that mirrored our imaginative prowess. In the spirit of collaborative growth, we engaged in peer evaluations, meticulously assessing and enriching each other’s myths in pairs, offering constructive feedback that was thoughtfully scored on an 8-point scale. Armed with this valuable input, we ventured into composing yet another myth, refining our storytelling artistry. With keen expertise, Sabreena ma’am meticulously reviewed our narratives, providing her insightful perspective. And then, upon her satisfaction, we embarked on the culminating chapter: penning the final rendition of our self-crafted myths.
